Review of the Best 5 HP Gadgets 2023, Prices Starting from IDR 6 Million Flagship Tech ‘Killer’ – 2 days ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The HP market is starting to show a revival, after several quarters of decline. A Counterpoint firm report noted that cellphone sales in Indonesia experienced 3% growth in the third quarter (Q3) 2023 on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.

People’s buying interest is gradually recovering, supported by the large number of products offered by HP manufacturers over the last few months, for those in the lower to upper segments.

For the middle class (mid-range), many cellphones offer luxurious features and specifications and are able to compete with flagship products.

Following are the 5 best mid-range cellphones throughout 2023 with a price range of IDR 6-10 million, selected by CNBC Indonesia, summarized on Friday (17/11/2023).

Xiaomi 13T was launched in Indonesia in early October, after first being introduced in Berlin, Germany. For Indonesian citizens, only the regular variant is available at a price of IDR 6,499,000.

For this price, the Xiaomi 13T champions the photography aspect, with a camera developed with Leica.

The Xiaomi 13T uses a triple-camera configuration with a ‘Summicron’ lens whose quality is said to be equivalent to a professional camera. Each camera has a resolution of 50MP (main), 50MP (telephoto 2x optical zoom), and 12MP (ultra-wide).

There are two different photography styles embedded in the Leica Xiaomi 13T camera, namely ‘Leica Authentic Look’ and ‘Leica Vibrant Look’. There is also ‘ProFocus’ technology which can capture details accurately for fast-moving image subjects.

For video recording, this cellphone is equipped with a Pro video studio mode that supports resolutions up to 4k 30fps.

Xiaomi 13T has a 6.67 inch screen with 1.5k resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. This cellphone also supports dual-speaker Dolby Atmos to support entertainment needs.

Xiaomi 13T comes with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra+ chipset, an improvement from the previous series.

This cellphone battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with support for 67W fast charging which is claimed to be able to charge 50 percent in just 15 minutes.

Regarding RAM and memory capacity, the Xiaomi 13T is given a 12GB RAM option with 256GB memory.

Other features of these two cellphones include 5G network support, NFC, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 6. The operating system is MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

This cellphone comes in 3 color variants, namely Alpine Blue (blue), Meadow Green (green), and Black (black).

For a slightly cheaper price, the Samsung Galaxy A54 could be an option. You could say, this cellphone is one of the most superior mid-range segment products in terms of design, camera, features and specifications.

The price is IDR 5,999,000 (RAM/ROM 8/128GB) and IDR 6,399,000 (RAM/ROM 8/256GB).

In terms of design, the Galaxy A54 brings several changes from the previous generation. Now it looks more like the flagship HP Galaxy S23 which was launched in early February.

On the back, there is no longer a special camera module for placing the camera. The Galaxy A54’s three cameras are arranged downwards and integrated into the cellphone body, just like the Galaxy S23.

The sides of the body are also now made more curved.

Not only that, the back of the Galaxy A54 is also made of glass, not plastic like most middle class cellphones.

The Galaxy A54 has a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate like a premium cellphone. The brightness level is stuck at 1,000 nits.

The screen is equipped with a punch hole or Samsung’s term ‘Infinity-O’ to place the 32MP selfie camera.

For the rear photography sector, the Galaxy A54 has a 3 camera configuration (triple camera). Each has a resolution of 50MP (f/1.8), 12MP (ultrawide, f/2.2), and 5MP (macro, f/2.2).

The pixel size of the main camera has indeed decreased from last year’s Galaxy A53 with a 64MP resolution sensor. However, the sensor type relies on the larger Sony IMX766 with a size of 1/5.6 inch.

This 50MP camera is also equipped with more capable image stabilization (OIS), namely 1.5 degrees. Photo capture and video recording are claimed to be more stable.

For the engine, the Galaxy A54 uses the Exynos 1380 chipset with 5nm fabrication. Compared to the previous one, there is an increase in CPU of 20% and GPU of 26%.

The RAM capacity is 8GB and is combined with 128GB/256GB memory options. If it’s still not enough, users can add external memory up to 1TB via the available microSD slot.

The Galaxy A54 has a 5,000mAh battery with a 25W fast charging feature. The operating system uses the latest One UI 5.1 based on Android 13.

This cellphone supports 5G networks, IP67 certified dust/water resistance, Dolby Atmos speakers, and USB-C.
